Poetry: I hear you

by Erin Kathleen

Created on: April 28, 2008

I hear you, but I'm not listening
I won't be tricked again
You have sweet words trickling from your mouth
But the bitter after taste is close behind
I understand your words, I just don't care
Never again will I shed a tear for you
I don't toss out forgiveness so easily
I smile because I've grown
I laugh at my past mistakes
I dance away my worries
These things come from you
I hear a reminder, I feel it
So, I hear you..I'm just not listening.
