"What was the clumsiest thing you ever done?" was the question I picked during a recent meeting's ice breaker. I never thought of myself as a clumsy person so I looked like that kid in school who didn't study his lesson. "I couldn't think of any, can I just pick another question please?" I said. "What was the most stupid thing you did for love?". Oh tough luck!
Had I read this question at Helium before that meeting, I wouldn't have to share my lovelife to the world! I don't know how could I have forgotten such embarrassing moment that happened in my college life. I guess it was too embarrassing to waste even a minute of my time remembering how funny I looked. Why did Betty La Fea suddenly cross my mind? Hmmm.
When I was in college, I met this snobbish guy during our student council campaign. I was running for a representative position and he happened to be from another party, vying for the chairmanship. Snub people gets my attention and so he caught mine. I didn't want to admit it at first but I was attracted to him, even more after learning how popular he was because he was elected as the new chairman of the student council. Surprisingly, I was also elected as one of the representatives so I was very happy for few reasons and one of the reasons was that I will be able to get to know him better.
Well, we had memorable moments together like when he bought me lunch because I couldn't get myself to buy one. When he sang to me while I was busy typing reports, that's because the sound system in the office was down. But the most memorable moment is that one incident that I failed to remember during that ice breaker.
In the university where I studied, we were required to wear uniforms. For ladies, we have to dress in business attire that is white blouse and black skirt. I paired my uniform with a high heel shoes for a smarter look.
I was on the night shift then as I have work in the morning. During our break time, my friend and I would often go out of the campus to eat. One night, we decided to eat at a cafe where I believe my crush often visits. As we were heading to the cafe, I noticed that there were group of guys sitting outside the cafe. But since the place was dimly lit, I couldn't see clearly their faces but I know my crush was in the group as I have heard his voice. As we walk closer to the cafe, I didn't know that on my next step, the floor is a step lower so boom! The next thing I knew, I'm lying, face flat on the floor! Then I heard chuckles from the group of guys outside the cafe. Although the place was dimly lit and one may have not seen what happened to me nor recognize that it was me, I was so embarrassed that I wanted to disappear right away. I didn't even bother to look around, I hurriedly got up to my feet and returned to school. The following day, my crush smiled at me as I entered the student council office. He asked me to listen to his self-composed song. As I listened to it, my cheeks grew pink because the lyrics described the incident that happened to me the previous night!
