April showers bring May flowers
Or so the saying goes
April is spring and May as well
That's when the flower grows

The showers are a blessing
They bring life, and growth abound
Spring and then Summer
They will grow if the seed is in the ground

Plant in late April, maybe early May
Grow anything all summer long
Come June or July we pluck them for beauty
And hope the aromas will all be strong

Spring showers bring more than flowers
They bring a cleansing of winter time's blues
The showers wash away all the winter gray
And spring forth in an abundance of hues

The trees turn green, the lilacs purple and white
The grass will be full of clover
Many three leaf, maybe some four
We'll find several before the Summer is over

Everything alive needs the showers of Spring
It all needs to drink in the health
The farmers, the forests, the parks and the fields
Need Spring showers to show off their wealth

We dance in Spring Showers, we play in the rain
We splash and we have a great time
The animals jump in, and they take a swim
As they wash off the winter's grime

Spring Showers, refreshing and full of life
We anticipate them every year
Without the invigorating rains of the Spring
The beauty would all disappear
