thing seldom go hand in hand.
The plot is gorgeous; rich with human emotion and texture and gives you a perfect insight to who Zack really is. Anyone and Everyone who plays this game will instantly find themselves with a liking to Zack. He is charming, he is cute, he is funny and most of all he's a human being with real human emotions. For those playing the game because they loved VII they'll be happy to know that some characters appear in this game including Areith, Tifa, Cloud and the Super Villain Sephiroth (who isn't introduced in the way you'd think) the feel of these characters comes back to you instantly and you suddenly remember why you fell in love with Final Fantasy VII in the first place; but, again, it's Zack who holds the whole game.
The new characters introduced do their purpose for creating a shifty world that Zack has to navigate through; but, don't come off as lovable as as some of the original characters.
Anyone who has played Final Fantasy VII or seen Advent Children knows how this story in Crisis Core ends; but, for the sake of those who don't I won't spoil it.
the game is filled with tear jerking moments; but, none more so than how the game is neatly tied up in the end. The End of the game will having you gripping your PSP for dear life almost and can't be described as anything less than Masterful. There's nothing about the last Half hour of the game that one can complain about and its made out of the stuff that Video Games are supposed to be made out of.

All the pieces for a perfect game are there and in order.
Crisis Core delivers a great cast with wonderful voice acting and even a surprisingly good soundtrack even with the absence of the genius Nobou Uemastu.
Out of 10 points crisis Core gets a restrained 9
With some minor issues that are easily overlooked when engrossed in the story the game could easily be a perfect effort and might even be better than VII itself.
There's a new rule to Final Fantasy and that is
You don't know it until you've played VI, Crisis Core, VII and watched Advent Children
