Poetry: Leaving

by James Gullion

Created on: April 27, 2008

In a world of misery and pain i slowly fade away like a star in the sky.

I hear voices all around as i realize im leaving.

Leaving like someone left me so long ago.

Leaving this world to enter eternal life.

I hear a slight whisper saying that the bullet had just grazed my brain.

I can't remember what happened or why, all i know is im about to die.

As i lay here motionless i realize what im leaving behind.

Leaving those who i called friends and family.

Leaving those who cared for me so.

I will be now but a tear on their cheeks.

As i feel my last breath go i hear them start to scream no.

The world starts to darken and the pain starts to leave.

Just like that i pass into the eternal life leaving behind all my misery and pain.
