I sip my morning coffee,
And stare blankly into space.
My morning meditations are of you...
I see your face.
I know you're out there somewhere;
For I've seen you in my dreams.
In night thoughts and in morning
You are meant for me, it seems.
I know you're out there somewhere;
I've waited many years.
For the perfect woman...
I have cried many tears.
Time is slipping by me;
With every year I age.
No knight in shining armor
On a white horse will you find.
Just someone who has loved you,
For years inside his mind.
I'm sorry, I must leave you
As they take me to my room.
My morning medications,
Put me to sleep real soon.
Perhaps I'll dream about you,
I never know, it seems,
But; I know you're out there somewhere,
For I've seen you in my dreams.
