What do you worship

So this guy asked me one time when I was about nineteen or twenty what I worshiped, what I believed in spiritually. well I told him that I don't quite know how to worship something that does not take a visible form and is based on faith, like the Christians and so many other religions. I am a very seeing is believing kind of guy. But I do have things that I worship. For instance, I worship sex. Without sex my life would have very little meaning and would not matter. I live off the purifying release that sexual intercourse and sexual acts give me and the person that I share it with. I also worship pain, without it I would be unable to realize the moments of pleasure and happiness that all of civilization struggles for on a daily basis. And I can't leave out food, my most greatest desire.I am a slave for food. I would have a millennium of torture for a life supply of chocolate, pizza, and Coca-Cola. But, all joking aside, I worship pleasure. They have labeled me and my kind as Hedonists, but I prefer Pleasure Monger. Anything that gives me discomfort and does not have a function that ends in my personal pleasure does not interest me nor does it hold a place in my life. I am what Americans call anti-socially acceptable because I choose to live life for pleasure at my leisure and for my self alone. But I also believe that what is right for others should be able to have an openly expressed opposition. So, I suppose in closing, the answer that I gave to that guy so many years ago really should have been simply, I worship whatever I find that pleases me. either way I would still have received the reply that he gave me. He said, "Poor boy. Don't you know that God is your Saviour and that your way of believing will send your soul straight to Hell?" I laughed at him then and I laugh to this very day when others tell me that my choices are sending my soul to Hell because I know that it's their values and I don't judge them for it. But I don't value it and I don't care to think too much about where my soul or body will go upon my demise. I feel that it will all come out in the wash and i will get the justice that I deserve. Well....IF IT PLEASES ME!
