It is but a little thing to speak a phrase of communication and harmful words. Which by daily use has almost lost its sense. Bitter words can not be erased. The effects may linger for a long period of time. Hence, becomes a cumbersome reality when we estimate the value of the ones being spoken to harshly. Be it good or bad, what we communicate in speech we often find compassion and commonality. We often find in this new generation of speech contains harsh words. Turning the cheek or correction adds to the cumbersome estimation of how to deal with harsh words.
Speaking harshly is a faculty given to conceal underlying thoughts and half our our sorrows could be averted with proper skills to communicate and speaking. I would render a verdict of poor skills growing up or just a bad day. However, it is a moot point to some. Being taught early in childhood, the meaning of good manners, communication and thoughtfulness is a must to survive in the adding years of a child or an adult. Harsh words can hurt deeply. The aftermath of using harsh words can only be felt by the one being spoken to. We all have been spoken to harshly and we know what the after flow is. Anger, vengeance or habitual torment.
Common fluency of speaking is owed a scarcity of matter and words or our ideas in life. Being taught the proper skills for advancement in life is a crown to wear. Treating others as we would want to be treated is a time old theory, that does work if applied.
Inaction to improve ones attitude concerning harsh words can be lost in its translation. One can lose a friend or loved one over harsh words. By what strange law of the mind is it, that the ability to correct ones self is overlooked and trodden. One has the liberty of the world to improve and develop. It is a good idea to become that warrior who overcomes his or hers harshness of words. The influence of many can grow better when transplanted into another mind. When a weed becomes a flower.
I also would ponder on this for our futures sakes. Where we go, who we meet and the after thoughts of meeting one who is harsh in words or one who is truly compassionate. It is never too late to try to be a better soul to communicate. I for one do avoid those who are habitual in harsh speaking. If encountered, few words are greater than idleness of hot-bed temptation to retort the favor.
