When you see that haunted look on my face
please don't ask why
When tears flow down my face,
I could be ecstatic or sad but don't ask
Don't ask why I stay in a futile relationship,
I beg you to understand my reason for patience,
Please don't make me feel ashamed, for not taking chances
The least you could do, is to turn away
I've learned through the years, it's better to have loved and lost
Than never to have loved at all
So please don't ask why I take my time so
And give all the leeway, please don't ask me to give up
for that's the strength of character I do possess
