Starting Small With Big Vision
Goals For The Part Time Entrepreneur
There are lots of reasons why people make that momentous decision to go into business for themselves,. Unless you come into sudden money, get fired or go retired, most people can't afford to quit the day job. They still need that income and the benefits that come along with the full time job.
Does that mean that you can't get started building for your future? Of Course not. It just means that you will build your business differently. Like many, you start small with big vision and build on solid foundation. You move towards the day when your business gets to the place where you can support yourself on the profits, Or perhaps for you, your online business is your second income till you retire. Either way, you can parlay a few hours into a part time income relatively quickly and easily.
First, determine your goal. Make it specific and timely. Are you going to sell a product, offer a service, write articles, sell on eBay. This is step one. Decide what it is you are going to do. At this point , you are not concerned with the how or why, you are just deciding your goal is and the niche that you are going to fill. Think about the things that you have any experience or level of expertise at. Decide the things that you are interested in. So here you are deciding exactly what it is you want to do. Mostly, you will either be creating a product, offering information or selling a product, or service. Make a list of 5 subjects, products or ideas that you can chose from. This is an important step, because you need to maximize the profit in a a shorter time frame. So direction for your business cannot be taken lightly or you will flounder.
Look at opportunities. We suggest that you look at websites that give ideas about internet opportunities. Just type in the area your are researching in your search engine browser and a whole host of free information is available. Remember that there are many opportunities that cost little or no money to get started. Also consider that if an offer sounds too good to be true, it generally is. Starting with something like a blog on your area of expertise is an excellent way to test the waters. Promoting affiliate programs is another way to get started on a low budget. Perhaps you would like to sell a product with a recognized brand, such as candles, scrapbooks, makeup. Look at the companies, what they offer, what your obligations will be. Narrow your list to what it is you want
