Reflections: Human nature
Human nature is funny from my point of view. It is funny because of the self importance we assign to ourselves, always thinking and acting on things as per our own needs, wants and claiming that it is our prerogative to do so. See, I even started my topic stating that this is my point of view, already giving myself the ownership and thus the importance of owning this thought & viewpoint. It sure is funny when we form opinions about people other than us.
We are always ready to judge someone without even having experienced his/her circumstances. It does not matter if we have never been in his/her shoes but yeah, we are ready with a biased opinion and seem to know how he or she should have acted in a particular way in a particular situation. While sitting at home we can also analyze why so & so broke up or got married or even became friends. Our brains work overtime in indulging in the personal pits & falls of celebrities, politicians and other public figures. We have an opinion on every matter on earth be it the poverty situation in the world, bringing up a child, the running of a government, racism, violence etc. But how many of us have made an actual effort to bring about a change or do anything about it,is the billion dollar question. But yeah, we sure are ready with a verbal answer to every question.
But when it comes to our personal lives, God forbid, nobody should dare to come even near to the actual fact/ truth without our permission. And the funny thing is we are always the martyrs and victims in the scene of things. Whatever the matter we always see it through our perspective, guess it seems clearer that way. And of course, when we do make mistakes it is always Fate working against us. The best way to clean up the guilt is to lay the whole blame on destiny, God and fate. This approach almost never fails to redeem our self esteem in our own eyes. Humans act and behave in certain stereotypes never deviating from the basic nature. We all hurt in the same way and create our images as what we would like to be not what we actually are. And therein, lies the problem and the solution.
Human nature is not as complex as it is made out to be. It is actually very simple and very predictable. It just takes a mirror and the guts to arrive at the actual state of things. The day we are ready to see our reflections in the correct and exact form we will definitely improve as a race and do a favor to humanity and mankind in all it's mammoth dimensions.
