NBC unleashed a truly awesome soap that stands out from all the rest that are on. This show has a dash of the supernatural and absolute kookiness. Sure other soaps have that one character that gets called a witch but on this show there is an actual witch brewing trouble in town. This little town called Harmony located not too far from Boston will totally captivate the viewers with all the strange goings ons. It will appeal to those who enjoyed Dark Shadows because it has that same kind of vibe to it.
Tabitha Lennox is a witch who has a little witchling named Endora. She is supposed to be all evil after all she's working for the dark side but she isn't all bad. Timmy a living doll was a huge part of opening her heart but sadly he's no longer with us but Josh will be fondly remembered for his role that imprinted on our hearts and introduced the Martimmy drink.
Since soaps have people coming and going not all the characters have remained with the same faces but quite a few have stayed on. This show has a pretty small cast compared to other shows which means favorite characters aren't pushed aside since most get plenty of screen time.
There are three families that are the focus of the town. The Cranes are the serious bigwigs with major bucks. They pretty much own the town and until Allistair finally died taking the Crane that personified evil the the town can now breathe a sigh of relief because the old man can't wreak any more havoc on them. Julian waffles between being a good man and following in his dead father's footsteps. He has a younger sister Sheridan who was put through the ringer courtesy of Daddy Dearest. There is a half sister Beth who is completely insane that totally takes after her evil father.
The Lopez-Fitzgeralds are intertwined with the Cranes. Pilar was a housekeeper for years as she struggled to raise her children. Antonio the oldest was yet another victim of Allistair's evil. Luis is a hottie cop who can't resist the Crane charms as he has fallen for not one but two of them. Theresa has been in love with Ethan who was raised as a Crane for years. She is a total romantic as well as a big believer of fate. Miguel is back in Harmony with a new face and not so likeable and quite frankly a bit fickle regarding his feelings.
The Bennets have been through the wringer. Sam and Grace are the ideal couple even though a serious case of amnesia erased the first twenty years of her life. They've come back thought when it was revealed that her marriage to David was a total sham courtesy of Ivy who is totally obsessed with him. They have three kids Noah, Kay, and Jessica.
The Russell's are no strangers to upheavals. Eve is a doctor with a lurid past. TC is a hothead who sees red when Julian is anywhere near him. They have two daughters Whitney and Simone who also happens to be a lesbian.
This is a great show with romance, adventure, nasty people like Gwen who is totally insane and her oversexed mother Rebecca. It's not often you see someone attack another person with a bed pan. So there's laughter as well as some tears shed as well as stunned moments at all the kooky happenings.
