I hate my hair
I hate my job
I hate my attitude
I hate the way I laugh at things
To help me make it through
All the little things in life
That pick away at your nerves
Rub you raw and break your heart
That you just can't put into words
All these mindless habits
And things you have to do
Like go to work and bite your nails
Smoke a cigarette or two
Each and every day I think
I'll change something here or there
But really it won't change a thing
No matter when or where
I need to overhaul this life
Start from scratch and then
Work my way up from the dust
And try it all over again
All the little things I hate
Will be matched by the things I love
Instead of work I'll take a vacation
Those who've pushed will get their shove
Little things like allergies
And ankle-biting dogs
Finally won't seem as bad
When all this stress is gone
My nerves are bare, but healing fine
My hair isn't quite as frizzy
My job isn't such a waste of time
I've found little things to keep me busy
My nail-biting habit...switched to manicures
My mouth doesn't taste like an ashtray
(Those damn things were a curse)
I've never been happier now that I know
The little things I do
Make the biggest difference in life...
And now I laugh because I want to

Now think a bit
The enormous gift of
Little hands, little nose, little fingers, little toes
Now think...
