The light of the morning is calling
To get me out of bed
Wake me up from my sleep
Take the dreams out of my head
I open my eyes and look around me
At the place that I call home
The four walls that surround me
And I feel so all alone
Ever since you've been gone
My life hasn't been the same
Without that loving feeling
I'm losing at the game
Lady
Where are you today?
Do you feel the way that I do
When you wake up everyday?
Lady
Why did we have to part?
I have such an empty feeling
Way down in my heart
I sit up in my bed
And smoke a cigarette
There are so many questions
I don't have any answers yet
Silence fills the air
While I am deep inside my brain
Remembering how things used to be
I'm feeling so much pain
How do I get out from under
The despair and all the gloom?
As I sit all by myself
In my silent lonely room
Lady
Where are you today?
Do you feel the way that I do
When you wake up every day?
Lady
Why did we have to part?
I have such an empty feeling
Way down in my heart
