If you find yourself on vacation, and your destination is Niagara Falls, there is an awful lot of things to see and do during your stay. The Honeymoon capital of the world boasts a plethora of attractions, none of which loom larger than the imposing Falls as the water rushes over the edge at an exhilarating pace.
Niagara Falls is one of the wonders of the world, and its sheer size and fury promises to engage your eye and intoxicate your mind. Niagara Falls is one of the largest and most breathtaking waterfalls in the world, trailing in size to Victoria Falls. The tourist attraction that is Niagara Falls is home to many different attractions surrounding the Falls themselves.
After marvelling at the magnitude of water cascading over the Falls in the daylight, the night time offers an altered view. At night, many large, multi-coloured lights adorn the Falls, allowing the water to be seen in all of its shimmering glory. The Falls stretch for quite a ways, enabling many different angles and scopes to be taken. For the adventurous tourist, there are several other views that can be taken.
The Maid of the Mist is a boat that will take you right into the heart of the bottom of the Falls, where the sound of rushing and crashing water will enthral your senses. During this ride, in which the tour guide will also regale you with tales of the Falls, you will become drenched in enthusiasm as well as water.
Aside from the actual waterfall itself, Niagara Falls also boasts many splendid attractions. Fabled Clifton Hill is located right by the waterfall, and is home to many tourist attractions. On Clifton Hill, and in the immediate surrounding area, you can visit the SkyWheel, which is a Ferris wheel that gives you an unprecedented view of the Falls. There are wax museums, such as the Criminals Hall of Fame, some haunted houses, world class casinos, Marineland, which is an aquatic fun-fest, a Butterfly Conservatory, gorgeous Hotels and Restaurants, and the beautifully landscaped Niagara Parks.
Niagara Falls is also situated right on the border of Niagara Falls, New York. This will enable some cross-border shopping and some alternate tourist destinations if staying in Canada is not your sole purpose.
Visiting Niagara Falls is something that everyone should do at least once in his or her lifetime. The Falls are certainly a sight to behold, and the raw power of flowing water becomes majestic right before your very eyes.
