Poetry: We are all students of life

Puzzling P Says

In the game of life,
we are all mad inventors.
Each dealt with an assortment
of mismatched playing cards
and puzzle pieces,
virtually no one is working
with a full deck.
There is no perfection
to be had,
no completion
to be achieved;
life is but a messy
and tangled journey
we embark upon.
With no universal specifications
or instruction manuals,
we do our best to pave respectable
paths for ourselves,
digging into our bag of tricks
for intriguing building materials
with which we design and shape
our experiences, sculpting and
fashioning completely unique
subjective realities
that we immerse ourselves into,
each reflecting the hopes, dreams, needs
and talents of its author,
refracting the dazzling synergy
of its varied spats and speckles.
Some prefer adrenaline-filled,
roller-coast er-like worlds filled with speed,
plenty of highs and lows,
and unexpected loops.
Personally, I enjoy a twirling tea-cup
production of life, temporary trips
of a more sedate chaos
that provide me with the soothing
illusion of control and order.

    Limits

    We must know our limits,
Then we will have no fits.
    To succeed or not to,
Will be our choice to do.
