Portals
Musicians, artists, and writers are portals
through which the divine trickles, vomiting seeds
of awakening onto the less inspired,
spinning webs of god consciousness into the four
corners of the world, regurgitating sublime
wisdom and justice, and defecating portrayals
of truth and beauty. The message must be spewed out
in some shape or form, as its potency threatens
the carrier. One can imbibe only so much
power and knowledge, before they get tangled
in the ego's trappings, and mangled by narcissistic
neuroses. Like a noxious dose of DMT,
with potential to enlighten, this cosmic
awareness must flow freely through the conduit
of your neural pathways; basking in its glory
is selfish, precarious, and can burn you from within.
