Women should be free to breastfeed their baby anywhere anytime. If people do not see the beauty, naturalness, joy, and life in the act,it is their problem. Most people find pleasure in such a sight. They smile and feel good. For those who have all hangups they can look elsewhere and at least respect life and nature. It is time we go back to the essence of life and living. Society can sure mess us up. I remember the first time I returned to Italy on a ship and as we were walking in Naples many women were nursing their babies and it was part of the landscape. It was different for us since we all had grown up in America but after staring we smiled and felt so very good. Some of us were Fine Arts Majors so we knew and saw the beauty of the human body. We wanted to sketch or paint such moments but we would have been too obvious.

Babies have a right to be fed when they are hungry and to receive natural milk if their mom can provide it. Human nature has survived because of it. Lucky are the moms who have the milk and the babies naturally suck. I nursed my son and my daughter. My husband found it very beautiful and natural. My family, extended family, and close friends never showed any negative feelings but I personally went to a private area so my son or daughter would not be distracted. It was great to not mess around with bottles. How wonderful it is that young mothers are choosing to nurse. Good for Moms and Babies!

In the USA I have seen only a few mothers nurse in public. Traveling to Italy, Spain, France, and some other areas in Europe was just part of the beautiful landscape. I saw no mother trying to stand out in anyway. They were paying attention to their baby. It was pretty hard try to be discreet on the beaches while nursing but most women's breasts were exposed anyway so no one was offended in anyway, men or women. The children just kept playing, however, most mothers would stay under the umbrella to protect the baby. Again, it was just part of the beach landscape.

Having the right to nurse for baby and mom is there whether we like it or not. Human nature did not start in the twenty first century. As a country we need to get back to wholesome, natural, and healthy ways. If mothers have the means to have lawsuits, let them be the pioneers.
