Poetry: Turning forty

by Jill Wood

Created on: April 26, 2008

I'm forty.
Am I naughty
If I tell you that I'm not?
That I'm only in my thirties
And can almost pass for hot'?

Now I've reached this milestone
Do I really have to change?
Is it downhill all the way because they say so?
Well, that's strange

I don't feel any older
It's not that big a deal
So say it together, everyone:
You're only as old as you feel!'
