I fell with a thud
through space
to the darkest recesses
one can face.
Oh, there is light.
I can see the glimmer
from my world.
I am piled on
by the others
who are
shirked and disgruntled,
irritated and angry,
left out and ignored,
vilified and shunned,
tormented and lonely.
For me, I am
the bottom of the barrel.
But I accept
my role in this world
for if not me,
who?
