Dishes to avoid on a first date

There are a few foods you may want to steer clear of if you happen to be on a date. Here I will detail just a few.

GARLIC

This one is pretty obvious. Italian restaurants are very popular, and often romantic too. Garlic is often difficult to avoid completely in Italian-American cuisine, but keep it to a minimum. Don't get anything that has "roasted garlic" or "garlic butter sauce". You get the point.

ONIONS

Anytime someone mentions The Garlic Smell, someone else will inevitably have a story about an Onion Smell. Raw onions are the most offensive, because they can smell like really bad body odor. Obviously your date would put two and two together and realize the smell was coming from your food (or later, your breath), rather than your armpits, but why even bring onions into the picture? Besides, there are so many other foods that smell much more pleasing. Certain smells in certain combinations can influence the mood in any situation. Just think about scented candles. You may smell a raspberry or honeydew-cucumber candle and be transported to a certain relaxing place in your mind. You may smell a vanilla candle or one with a musky scent and think of romance and intimate moments. But if you eat onions on a first date, well....you may just smell, period.

BUFFALO/CHICKEN WINGS

I'm talking about the kind with bones here. Nobody looks very attractive wrestling the meat off of a bone while holding the wing protectively in his or her paws like a raccoon. Often chicken wings have a thick sauce on them, which complicates matters. This certainly isn't something you can eat daintily with a knife and fork to avoid your face looking like a four-year-old going through a brat phase. Eating messy things like this with your hands, you'll not only get the sauce all over the sides of your mouth but also all over your hands.

CANDY THAT IS TAFFY-LIKE OR OTHERWISE STICKS TO YOUR TEETH AND FILLINGS

The main reason for this tip is simple. If you're having a conversation and you're subconsciously sucking away at your back right molar to dislodge that chunk of the Sugar Daddy you just ate, chances are you'll be making gross noises without realizing it or that you'll start picking your teeth in frustration. Some people are quite sensitive to appearances and will think (rightly so) that you do this every time you're done eating. You might find that Sugar Daddy lost you your sugar daddy.

SPAGHETTI

Other pasta should be fine, but steer away from spaghetti, linguine and angel hair. Some people can
