Just see the signs of poverty here and there
Wondering what brings these about
Makes me stop and think feeling I need to find out
Approaching I get if you don't want offending don't ask
I'm sorry but it's such a task
Will it make your day poorer if you don't know
That's the reason I'll tell you to go
We all have bad days, the reasons are many
When you say don't ask it gives no answers to any
For myself I'm like an open book
If you only take the time to look
When I'm plowed under with work and you can see
No need to ask so don't bother me
