Did you ever wonder about the road less traveled-if you had taken that road just where you might have ended up? A condo in Manhattan over looking Central Park West-A big house on the big island of Hawaii or a trailer in Wichita Falls. God has a purpose in our mixed up crazy world in which we live, work, love and share with others along life's crossroads. We may not always like where we are going or where we have been but no matter we are doing something with the lives we are given. Hope you have done some good along the way!
I have walked down a different road because of an accident which was a freaky thing -I broke my arm and leg in car accident that destroyed my tennis scholarship and I decided to go in the military and become a nurse. One change for the better I think-but change on the highway of life. Another change along the way was when I changed loving of nursing and got into doing numbers for keeping books. I still hold a degree in nursing cause one never knows when you might need it but I have enjoyed working for businesses doing various bookkeeping and accounting jobs.
Not only have my choices of careers changed throughout my lifetime several times, but people who have came in and out of my life have changed things or choices I would have made. I don't know why-but their own choice affect my choices somewhat-for example: when my best friend took his own life because he had lost his brother in that nasty war called Vietnam-partly that and because his number had came up to go and he didn't want to go and have his parents lose another son. I could relate to his loss because of my own loss -my brother and my husband to be after he came back, which he didn't.
I even changed some of my choices I think because of my Mom, good or bad, at the time it was the right choice-maybe had I known then what I know now I would have chosen differently but then again maybe not because I am who I am because that choice.
As I look back over my life good and bad, I find that choices made were the choices necessary at that time in my life to make my life what it is today-I have meet some incredible people along the way some of which I will always remember and others I hope to never see again. Each in their own way has shaped the choice and decisions which I have made along the way. The crossroads of life have taken me on a wonderful and exciting journey of which I could have never been on without those choices I made but I can look in the mirror and know that I like myself just the way I am-So why change anything even if I could change just one thing.
Because on the crossroads of life if you change one thing it could change EVERYTHING.
