Poetry: Bottom of the barrel

by Belinda Pertot

Created on: April 25, 2008

As the last drop leaves
The end is screamingly close
Finally the last glass is here
The bottom of the barrel

I search my soul
For which way I should go
Why I have lost myself
In this dark and horrible way

I bring myself to a stop
Which way should I go?
To move forward with grace
Or return to the comfort of yesterday
