These honored ages marking time, occasions passing down the wine.
Such milestones conjure contemplation, musing through each generation.
Those lives which touch and dance with mine, and shape the ways I tune my mind.
Slight fleeting moments, merging souls. Countless actors play their roles.
The friends we lose, the friends we keep. The ones who help us laugh, and weep.
Angels guiding through the haze, true found kin throughout our days.
These years we toast, and bring to mind, awash with memories for to find.
Young Summers spent beneath the dunes, when Autumn always came to soon.
We spread our wings and learned to fly, and watched our dreams soar ever high.
The myriad of paths we chose, to live, to love, to reap and sow.
As slowly time decrees the seasons, friends they share our rhymes and reasons.
Unseen bonds through life we've tethered, gathered clouds and storms we've weathered.
All our lives are filled with mysteries, bound with intertwining histories.
So raise your glass and celebrate, a wealth of stories to relate.
For shadows dance upon our walls, and whilst we gaze the curtain falls.
The time is ours to truly see, the sun it shines for you and me.

And time is suddenly oh so dear

TURNING FORTY
Turning 40?

And in between
Turning forty ain't nothing
You're hardly half
by Sid de Knees
I look like my dad..
I tend to move quite slowly now,
and find aches when I do,
I find that stairs are murderous,
and toe nails
Feeling sad cause you're turning 40?
I'm twice that now and feel young and sporty.
I walk two miles most every day.
I do chores,
