I Got To Be Me
I Got To Be Me
Some people think to get a fair shake,
they can't reveal themselves,
they have to be fake.
They crawl on their bellies,
with the other snakes on the ground,
never opening up there real selves,
thinking they wont be wanted around.
I say there's another way,
with no games to play,
no cliques i have to impress,
to allow them to let me stay.
I don't care if they want me,
let them hate.
because I wont live their lies,
every time I come around
I look in their eyes,
and they cant face me.
they just avert and despise,
my very existence,
and hope for it's demise.
But I wont go away,
their game I wont play,
I stay true to myself,
never wandering astray.
Their vanity clouds their judgments,
they just cant see,
no matter what happens,
I am gonna be me.
I could play in their slime,
break my rhythm ,
my rhyme,
but my tolerance of them,
will not give them the time.
No matter how they try,
to run me off,
I shall not flee,
cause no matter what they do,
I can not break,
for I got to be me.

Poetry: Rage
Anger outbursts as a thirst for something else.
Something that it's once forgotten & it once knew.
Rebelling against
It starts as a slow rumble
Builds till my breath is short
I feel my world start to tumble
I know it has come too far to abort
I
by Jack Ivey
Rage aborts the future
In violent belief
A cataclysmic photograph
Albeit often brief
Bursting veins of razors
Slashing
by Chad Mcdade
Red fog clouds my mind
Blood courses madly from a raging heart
Body trembles and eyes but blind
Grand desires of brutality
Before a whisper-
Now runs like water
Out of locked openings
Pours out silence
Tender substance
Scatters like sunshine
