Scrap-booking is truly a rewarding craft in many ways. The first benefit is that it is a fantastic hobby for a person to enjoy with others or by themselves. Many scrap-book artists find that this is a great way to escape from life's daily challenges for a brief amount of time, to create something that can be cherished, everlasting, joyful, inspirational, and of course crafty.

Scrap-booking has become a widely known craft throughout the world, and has many resources available to those who seek for it. All of which provide many events, and activities for the fellow scrap-bookers to attend and enjoy. There are hundreds of companies and organizations locally and world wide, and many of which can be found through the Internet. And there are thousands of scrap-booking stores located throughout the United States. Including local communities, and private groups which scrap-bookers gather together to share their ideas, skills and techniques, as well as enjoy each-others company and building new friendships which they have something in common.

Scrap-booking also provides a creative way to preserve your family legacy, etc.; not only through photos, but through journals as well. Many of todays scrap-booking artist find great pleasure in sharing special stories or moments in time that coordinated with the photos they use on their pages. Not only does this help keep them from forgetting certain things, but it is also a fantastic way to share these stories with others.

This special craft also provides something useful for those photos. So many of us have too many photos, and find that we have hundreds shoved in a drawer, closet, attic, etc. And scrap-booking those photos into creative albums to cherish, look back on again and again, and share with others is a fantastic way to put those photos to use. These creative albums become a special part of us because we have put our heart into it, and they are a meaningful piece of history regarding the loved ones in our lives, wonderful experiences, personal growth, and so on.

Scrap-booking makes wonderful gifts for others that you love as well. For those who have been doing the craft for quite some time, and have already fulfilled many of their own personal needs; they have leaped into this direction from time to time to give to others that they love.
