Close your eyes and imagine a world without humor. I would not want to live in that dreadful world. This world is certainly not bliss but I do get to laugh. I love to laugh. It makes an otherwise humdrum day so much better. And we are all just too ridiculous not to laugh at. If we could all just stop taking ourselves so freaking serious this world would be so much better.

I developed a sense of humor early in my life. I had to. It was my coping mechanism. If I was laughing or making others laugh then no one was unhappy if even for just a moment. Believe me I needed every happy moment I could get. It was and still is my escape, my happy drug. If I was neck deep in quick sand I would still find a way to see the humor in it. Humor is all around us in every situation. All you have to do is pay attention. Get your head out of your a* and laugh.

Most of us are just trying to do the best we can in our lives. We didn't ask to be here, we just are. We are stuck here trying to figure out why? What is my purpose? Am I suppose to do something important? I know, maybe I'm suppose to invent that thing that covers the earth after global warming does it's damage. Or am I suppose to deliver a really important message to the world? Maybe I'm here to find a cure for something or end world hunger? NOPE, so far I'm just taking up space and trying to make the best of my life sentence. When I am laughing I feel free. I feel like I'm on top of the world. It doesn't matter if I'm dirt broke and working a dead end job. For that brief moment when I'm laughing I am happy.

Kids have it right. Try watching children play and not get a smile on your face. They don't know yet that it's not okay to be silly. To them thats what life is really about. What happen to us? When did it become so serious? Why can't we just lighten up a little and be silly? I know with all the bad things happening in the world today it is hard to see any humor at all...But will it get better because your depressed or angry?...No it won't. Laughter is medicine and it will make you stronger and happier. So if you want to fight all that is wrong and have a chance at winning then you had better take your medicine...Live...Love...And definitely Laugh.
