is during the FA cup. During these matches, it is clear to all watching, the quality of the Premier League compared to the Football League. Most teams playing against the Premier League teams will resort to defending and playing the long ball which is a bore to watch especially when these eyes are trained to so often watch only the big four. Football League teams sometimes win but it is more luck and an inspired goalie than quality attacking football being played. The English players playing in the Premier League teams, although not as many as people would like, benefits the national team greatly by bringing a better style of football.
The amount of quality foreigners playing in the Premier League is also a major reason why the Premier League has more to offer. Simply put, Ronaldo, Torres, Drogba, Fabregas. The big names of world football, not only european football are plentiful in the Premier League. The value of entertainment these foreigners bring to English football is definitely an advantage to the national team not otherwise. I say this because the English players especially the up and coming youngsters are benefiting greatly from this exposure and experience. The amount and quality of the foreign players also make it a World Cup almost for every fan of the Premier League week in, week out. For all the reasons that I have given, for me there is no doubt the Premier League has more to offer the English soccer fans than the Football league.
