Poetry: Morning meditations

by Michael. B

Created on: April 24, 2008

Quiet hours softly sigh
a hush that fills you up.
Decisive, as on campus
the laid back essence....
Day presents, a future
in timely light renewal
like active heart-rhythms;
each as tranquil,
kicking central,
the morning bustle.

As lunch hour paces
and energy bends-
Sprightly!
Mad innocence sings
echoes about college grounds
and the like.
Playfulness through intellect
Intent and zestful calling
on life, occasion, light.

Well poised buildings
reflective of action.
glass and thoughtful brick
where buses like to arrive-
in numbers of minutes.
And those going places
Sling bags over shoulders
carrying their heads.
