When going out on a first date there are a few ways to ensure that all goes smoothly. Follow these tips down the road to a happy ending (or at least another date):
1. Think it through before hand. You can decide to go for dinner but evening dates put on the pressure to keep the night going. By planning an afternoon date you can make the choice of when it has to end or you can decide to let it continue.
2. Be creative. A first date does not have to be coffee, dinner or a movie. A walk in the park or a day at the beach can give to time to get to know each other as well.
3. Dress comfortable. Do not wear an overly reveling outfit on the first date it will give off the wrong impression. Instead opt for an outfit that is sexy but comfortable. Something that you feel good in.
4. Pay attention. Make sure you choose somewhere that is free of major distractions. (At least at first.) That way you know that your date will have your undivided attention.
5. Mind Your manners. Good manners are a quality we forget to list, but being polite is a very important part of a first date. It shows that you are a caring and compassionate person. It also makes your date feel that they are worth your time.
6. Relax. I can not stress this enough, forget all the worries in your head about dating and just be yourself. You have to always remember that who you are as a person is wonderful and someone is going to like you for who you are.
7. Keep it light. Avoid complaining about work or friends. Do not tell your date about your finances or any other negative situation until you are better acquainted. Positive thinking, makes positive results.
8. Don't go wild. It is a good thing to be yourself, but if yourself generally gets very drunk and rowdy I would suggest toning it down for the first date. It is OK to have fun, but lets not get arrested for being intoxicated in a public place on the first date.
9. Be on time. There is nothing worse than the nerves of a first meeting doubled by the thought that the person is not showing up. It also makes you look irresponsible and make the other person feel that they are not worth your time.
10. Above all be safe. Although most men you will meet are going to be honest and probably very nice men, we all watch the news as see what is possible. So make sure to tell someone where you are and who you are with. Don't take drinks that you did not watch be made and do not put yourself into dangerous situations. You can never really be to cautious.
Dating is a fun and exciting part of life, so allow it to be that way. Enjoy yourself and the company of others.
