Poetry: Building blocks

poetry is usually personal to the writer
the words fall out, the sun shines brighter
it doesn't mean near as much
to those that read as to those that touch
I can pour my heart out to you
and you'll never understand what I do
how I struggle to get the words out
my journey, my triumph, my doubt
I trudge along to bring my song
I scream and curse for just one verse
my mind is clamped, my hand is cramped
here's what I brought, add the final dot
