Internet Dating: A Few Do's and Dont's
It pains me to relate this horrifying story once again. Just thinking about my horrid internet encounters long enough to write this article gives me the jitters and literally makes me nauseous. The only reason I'm able to relate this story to you is due to a sense of compassion for humanity, perhaps, I can save someone the pain, heartache and loss of property.

This whole ordeal started innocently enough. Like millions of people before me I posted my picture and profile on an Internet dating site. If you know how to work the site properly (like I did) you can even get around paying the monthly service fee. Tap the "that was easy button". I'm not trying to pat myself on the back, but, I must say, my efforts to attract eligible, sexy, appealing, women were wildly successful. Women were coming out of the woodwork, or in this case LCD screen. All jokes aside: The purpose of this article is to provide you with several things you should most definitely "DO" and several things you should most definitely "NOT DO", before blindly jumping head first into a situation that could most definitely hurt you, OUCH, OUCH, OUCH!

Do: 1. Listen carefully for inconsistencies, keep mental notes on things that are told you. If at all possible (without being blatantly obvious about your scrutiny) attempt to verify information told to you. Ask questions that verify competency about a vocation, subject, object, place or thing.

A very attractive woman I met over the Internet once told me that she was a RN, (registered nurse). During an innocent conversation with her mother, (who I talked to on the phone almost every day,) I was told me that she had paid Sara's tuition (names changed to protect the guilty) to attend nursing school. Mom told me she paid over $13,000.00 in tuition payments over a two-year period. Sara told me that she was working everyday at a full time nursing job, and that she also worked a part time nursing job at another hospital. In a subsequent conversation mom told me that Sara was struggling to pay her bills. Why is that I asked with astonishment? Her response to my question was this; Sara's on welfare and has been on welfare for the past four years didn't she tell you?

2. Keep mental notes relating to phone calls; times called; times not called; times you call and are not able to reach your new friend; the love of your life; the one you've been waiting for. (gee wiz). Are there mystery times when you are not able to reach him or
