Just My Luck
Flipped a nickel,
I called tails.
Heads came up,
it never fails.
Wish I was the lucky one, sometimes.
Bought a ticket,
"Win a cake!"
My friend won.
Hope Mom can bake.
Wish I was the lucky one, sometimes.
Next door neighbor
Got a dog.
I want one.
I have a frog.
Wish I was the lucky one, sometimes.
Wrote a math test
Yesterday.
Got my mark
It was an A!
Made myself the lucky one, this time.
