Poetry: Humorous poems for children

Just My Luck

Flipped a nickel,
I called tails.
Heads came up,
it never fails.

Wish I was the lucky one, sometimes.

Bought a ticket,
"Win a cake!"
My friend won.
Hope Mom can bake.

Wish I was the lucky one, sometimes.

Next door neighbor
Got a dog.
I want one.
I have a frog.

Wish I was the lucky one, sometimes.

Wrote a math test
Yesterday.
Got my mark
It was an A!

Made myself the lucky one, this time.
