Poetry: The tragedy of love

by Kari Robbins

Created on: April 24, 2008

The dawn comes in forbidden,
Washing away the cold night.
Now I see that my masters
Were not as bad as I thought.

For Now they almost seem right
The night plays tricks on you mind,
Till you don't know where the truth lies.
Is it in me, or you, or someplace else?
The place we don't look.

The love is gone.
Now what do you do with a heartbreak?
The yearning to tell somebody,
Yet not being able to talk aloud.
The silent caressing of heartbreak.

Now as the dawn comes,
So does the love.
The dawn washing away heartbreak.
Love washing away the cold night.
