Poetry: The cycle of life

Strange cult.

Preaching

valuable lessons.

Morality on wheels.

Somber clowns

on unicycles.

Bearing prophecies.

Visions of the future.

They tried to explain

that the cycle of life

was coming to an end.

But no one believed them.

They continued their

quest with renewed vigor.

Until both their bodies

and their unicycles

were completely

worn out.

A new sect replaced them.

They abandoned the old ways.

This group was met with

distrust and displeasure.

Yet the cycle of life,

tragically rolled on.
