I will say YES, but restricted! The rules have been cleared, understood and protect the rights of wives. Polygamy should be decided not only by husband but also wife and should be consulted with experts before the action is taken. There are some reasons for polygamy; it could be religions, beliefs, cultures or other values. Since the polygamy practices occurred hundreds years ago, many problems happened because of misinterpretation and unclear rules. And so, polygamy seems like men domination.

So, by legalizing polygamy with restricted rules also give a protection to a wife. Why? Because by having law that protect the wife rights, she will be covered by law to bring his husband to the courts in case her husband breaks the rules. Restricted rules also give more responsibility to a man to treat his wife, he has to get permitted by his wife to do polygamy and a wife has right to refuse and ask for divorce. A husband has to treat his families in equal and if he misses to do that, he has to face with a court.

We have to be realistic to see current situation, in several parts of the world women had been oppressed by men domination. Not all countries like Sweden that treats both men and women equally or like Finland. So, I support to legalize polygamy because women will be protected their rights. Maybe you have read news about how many women left by her husband because of another woman and she should struggle to earn money to feed her children. Or how about a husband who does affairs with another woman but still does not want to divorce his wife, who will protect a woman?

Legalization of polygamy will limited a man steps, he should be able to treat his families equally or will be in the court, he should discuss a decision for polygamy and get permitted by his wife who also has a right to refuse and ask for divorce. Even there is permission from his wife, both husband and wife should discuss with an expert and their family. By having these procedures and rules, a man will think twice to do polygamy.

I am not a person who support polygamy, for me a man should be for a woman. But, I am trying to be realistic to see the world because so many unlucky women in other parts of the world. By legalizing polygamy, we make a change to protect women rights.
