I certainly find it hilarious that we should even consider this topic given the cost of maintaining a household with just one spouse in these enlightened times. And since we are assured by our governments in the West that they have only the welfare of their citizens primarily in their minds then I would consider it the bounden duty of our elected representatives to save such of their citizens who want to practice polygamy from the trauma of facing four or ten moody spouses everyday and having to handle the petty jealousies, the tug and pull of multiple spousal demands and desires each and everyday. There maybe a lot in the Anglo Saxon laws we follow that prohibit polygamy but I wish to stress only the compassionate stance of helping would be polygamists and deter them, perhaps frighten them from following a path which will end only by their entering a psychiatric ward.

Since we are discussing polygamy in these days of female equality we must remind the would-be polygamist that each of his multiple spouses have an equal right to practice polyandry and take on as many husbands as they can bear. Only fair so that the wives don't feel neglected as I am told the wives in Middle Eastern harems or in the Chinese Emperor's walled off palaces did in the good old days. And since it is just remotely possible that in the name of human rights polygamy maybe legalized, then we should add an amendment to the rule demanding the polygamist to allow polyandry in his household. Better still, make it a condition on the wives that they must have an equal number of husbands. I simply love the thought of all the confusion that will ensue.

And my gratefulness to whatever may have started off the evolution of species on this planet now knows no bounds. Just imagine what legal artifices we would have to create if there were not two genders but a plethora of them. Well all of art and literature I can think of started off on the attraction or lust between these two genders. Just think of how complicated a novel with multiple attractions between 5 genders would be almost like reading a Russian novel with its crowd of characters but only more complicated! And how many apples would that snake have to carry around to entice five or ten genders. One Eve, we are told created all the problems & sins with her need to bite into an apple. The would-be polygamist had better think of his grocery bills when ten Eves start craving for apples!
