Poetry: The Spirit

by Pangeacat

Created on: April 24, 2008

Sway to the Beat

A full moon darkens
A drum cries out
A crackling fire
Consumes the night

Trees rustle intensely
Life echoes its call
A maidens' sensual dance
Wind howls with fright

The drum slows its rhythm
The wind calms its scream
The maiden follows suit
The moon shows its' light

Life continues its own dance
Though the fire's dying down
The spirit ebbs and flows
The Divine shines too bright
