You can drive just over the Ben Franklin Bridge into Camden or take the Philadelphia Phlash trolley or the Riverlink Ferry for direct access.

PLEASE TOUCH MUSEUM
All children love to touch things and at this museum you will not hear the words "Do not touch" Located right on 21st street in Philadelphia, this museum is all about children and letting them be hands on. All of the exhibits are interactive and fun. Let your child dive into the world of Alice in Wonderland or let your child pretend to shop in the interactive grocery store. Even the youngest of visitors will love the Barnyard exhibit where you can drive a tractor and feed the chickens. This museum is perfect for all children, no matter what their age and interest.

DUTCH WONDERLAND
If you are in Philadelphia and have some extra time to spare, then head about an hour west of Philadelphia out to Lancaster PA, home of Amish Country. There is a wonderful amusement park specifically for children called Dutch Wonderland. All of the rides and exhibits are designed for the little ones, even the roller coaster. There is also a small water park area where kids can have fun and get wet. After you leave there, don't forget to get some shopping done at the famous Lancaster outlets and maybe buy some homemade Amish food; yum!

Just because you are traveling with children, does not mean you have to "hope and pray" they will be on their best behavior while you tour the area. All of these destinations provide fun and learning for children while allowing parents to see the city. Good Luck and enjoy Philadelphia!
