Common among women, healthy hair is essential. Most women think it is hard work to maintain healthy, nourished hair. Actually, having healthy hair is very simple. With these easy tips, you too can achieve vibrant, healthy hair.
I firmly believe a beautiful head of hair starts from within. First and foremost, the food and nutrients that you intake have a vital effect on the healthiness of your hair. Hence, the better your diet is, the better shape your hair will be in! Foods that are rich in vitamin D promote healthy bones, skin, and hair. So reach for that glass of milk! Not only will it nourish your hair, it will also help protect your bones too!
Another great step in getting healthy hair is doing hair repair treatments. If you are like most of us women, your hair is probably damaged from styling products and/or heating elements. A great way to repair damaged hair in a do-it-yourself treatment, is what I like to call the "baby oil treatment". First, apply baby oil that has been slightly warmed(microwaved)from tip to root all over your head. Make sure that your hair is well saturated. Wrap a heated towel around hair. You can heat the towel by putting it into the dryer. Let your hair "marinade" in the baby oil for one hour. Shampoo and condition as normal. You may need to shampoo twice to get any existing baby oil residue out of your hair. This will leave your hair soft and replenished, not to mention smelling great!
One of the biggest mistakes women make when it comes to hair care is choosing the wrong shampoo and conditioner. Evaluate your hair type.(oily, dry-damaged, curly, thick-frizzy,etc..)Once you conclude on your hair type, choose your products accordingly. Another great way to add life to your hair is to choose products based on your hair color. These provide a color boost to the appearance of dull,lifeless hair.
Taking these tips into mind, and actually trying them is a sure fire way to improving the overall health of your hair. You should see amazing results with the very first time that you try these healthful tips. So, go ahead and try them. I guarantee you will be satisfied with how much better your hair feels and looks. Remember, healthy hair is beautiful hair.
