Blessing the flowers with much needed rain,
the month of April brings along that age old sweet refrain.
Spring showers that bring May flowers,
floral and forestry, the drops of refreshing water empowers.
Causing the pollen to lay down their guns,
taming its allergy component, and giving it the runs.
I'm so thankful when a downpour arrives,
and calms down the pollen that in nature thrives.
There's nothing like the feeling of the rain running down,
my closed eyelids and my cheeks, splashing to the ground.
It's cooling essence makes my soul sigh,
from those pouty, crying clouds in the sky.
Spring showers that seem to say,
"Get ready for another wet spring kind of day!"
