Water black prairie,
fire burnt and ready for green
grass and June flowers.
(This poem is written in the form of haiku. It is a fairly traditional haiku with reference to nature.)

Capricious spring showers of sunshine and rain
Take turns swirling patterns on my windowpane.
They sweep through the meadows
