Hatred spreads like a cancer
Fueled by the life's blood of anger
That bubbles up from the dark places we fear.
Little moments of innocence turned into
Actions of sin as we nash our teeth
Hurl our curses, and fling our insults
Upon the world and those around us.
Plowshares turned into swords and blood
Red ink carries the feelings beyond our reach.
Moments echo for forever as history gets repeated
Moments echo for forever as history gets repeated
And the disease spreads from man to woman
to child to man to woman again
For every cure a new disease is created
Each generation revisits itself in the words
And actions of their children
