Religion actually means protestant. So the question is totally out of context with the questioners implied desires for a response. Maybe the question should have said, "Which line of worship or faith do you think is the best?"

That has covered the Christian section, so now it only leaves research to be done on Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, and Paganism among a few. I have raised the visual reality to show how many choices there are and the demands of the question.

Imagine yourself for a moment with no knowledge of modern day faiths, as you were born on a remote Island with no contact with the modern world. Your education medium is survival, your life giving forces are the surrounding trees and vegetation, filled and feeding all sorts of wild life being a chain of survival and rebirth. You see the sun come up and go down, it warms the land and gives life to all things, you even notice the many plants bend and twist as they follow the path of the sun. You also notice that the rain also gives life. Seasonally you notice the plant life wither and die becoming a compound that feeds new growth. So even without a language you have discovered the life giving force through instinct and observation and inturn would have your own way of interpreting and relating these events.

Not once have you been in a position to question the creation around you, it is a case of innocent acceptance. However, in your own way you give thanks for the Sun and the Rain, you give thanks for the food that surrounds you, also you give thanks for the seasons. Not once would you be in a position to give thanks to a God, but to many potential Gods each representing a different facet of what surrounds you. No one aspect would be preferred, as you would be living with the cycle of events that gives life and sustains life.

So what is the purpose of the above? Hopefully it will show that there can be no one better lineage of belief other than the one you were born into with all its knowledge and twists and turns of faith manipulated to claim a truth befitting the one who started that particular thread of belief. In fact the very nature of the question is in itself indicative of a riot medium and outlines the thinking of man today and in the past, which has caused so many wars.

The only right answer to this question from my perspective is to examine yourself, analyse your own perceptions and conclude with what you feel comfortable. There is much emphasize put on Christianity these days with one fundamental common belief, that Christ died on the cross for the sins of the world. This would also include the people on an Island as described above, and yet they would have no knowledge of Christ.

To conclude, there is no one better religion in the sense of the question. It is a personal thing between you and God/Creator, it is something you alone feel comfortable with and should not be challenged by any other force other than through the testimony of a person being observed in their daily routines as others observe you. If you are seen to be doing the right thing toward your fellow man and people like that, then they will follow you, however that is not the intent of our daily lives other than to live in harmony with everyone's discernment in which we support one another in Love.
