Many struggle, sometimes for years, trying to discover their life purpose. This process can be harsh, and at times lonely. Help abounds for all those seeking this noble path. A simple visit to a bookstore reveals thousands of tomes written on this subject. Many spiritual beliefs claim to have the path that will lead people to their destiny. Yet, these books and beliefs have one mistake in common: there is no purpose.
By and large, a life purpose could be defined as that which we came to this planet to do. The idea of not having one is troubling. We need to know that there is a reason for us to be in here, that there is something that drew us to this life in the first place.
For some, we came to Earth to resolve something from a previous life in order to grow spiritually. For others, we are here once and depending on how we live we go to Heaven or Hell. Each of these philosophies gives us an end destination, and how to get to this destination becomes the purpose of our life.
For example, someone may try to reach higher levels of consciousness in order to achieve the purpose of becoming a light being. Another person may fight against gays and lesbians in order to prove to their god that they are deserving of Heaven.
Those may be extreme examples, but they help illustrate how our perceived destination is linked to our perceived life purpose. Having such a purpose helps guide our lives, and provides parameters of behavior and thought. The destination and purpose combined enable us to create morals, societal rules, behavior codes, and even etiquette.
In short, there is no need to think about what is actually good and bad, right or wrong. This has been decided at some point and it is presented to us as truth. We are no longer responsible for making decisions as long as we follow the rules and codes set before us.
Therefore, if our destination is Heaven, our purpose would be to follow the rules set by our ministers and the Bible. Dos and don'ts are explicitly set out.
On the other hand, when there is no purpose things become murkier. Right and wrong are no longer as important, and this could set our entire world upside down. This alone justifies having a life purpose. It provides order to our existence.
And this is the only purpose that a life purpose serves. Nothing else, nothing more.
Our Universe has one thing in common: nothing. There is nothing out there.
All things in the Universe are created by small particles called atoms. These particles can be divided into even smaller
