My heart was empty for so long.
I could not fill it with frivolity.
I tried drinking, and song.
But found the emptiness difficult to push away.
I struggled through so many days.
Then the day came.
I remember it so well.
I could hear your heart beating.
And mine as well.
Our two hearts.
I will never forget the sound.
It was a miracle,
I thank God everyday.
You were not what I was looking for,
But you found me anyway.

It was 2:15 in the afternoon.
I saw your face for the first time.
Sweet, beautiful.
I felt your heart beating,
And all the sadness went away.
My heart no longer lonely,
Yours is there with it.
We have a bond that cannot be broken.
You filled my heart with love and devotion.
It is a miracle,
I thank God everyday.
You were not what I was looking for,
But we found each other anyway.

warming my skin, I die a little there,
in
I look at you, you look at me
we know we've had a history
questions I don't need to know
have all been answered long ago
