Getting started with selling on eBay

If you have ever read an article about eBay, you will have seen the kinds of incomes people are making. It honestly isn't unusual to hear of people making thousands per month by selling on eBay.

You may have heard of PowerSellers. Next time you're on eBay, have a look at how many there are. Now consider that every single one of them must be earning minimum 750 per month as that is eBay's requirement for becoming a PowerSeller.

Silver PowerSellers minimum 1,500 each month
Gold PowerSellers more than 6,000 per month
Platinum PowerSellers more than 15,000 per month
Titanium PowerSellers make at least an amazing 95,000 in sales every month.

The fact that these people exist gives you some idea of the income possibilities here. Most of them started by simply selling things they had at the back of their cupboards or in the loft. There are plenty of people whose full-time job is selling on eBay and many of them have been doing it for years now.

Here are a few things that you really need to know before you go and throw yourself into the deep end

What to Sell
Firstly, you need to decide what you are going to sell. Think about what is your specialty. You'll do far better on eBay if you become a great source for certain kind of products rather than selling random rubbish. The most important point to consider is to try to sell what you know. This way you can write a better description and sell your product for a good price.
Next think about what things you could get a good price for to resell and how suitable it would be for posting. Don't worry if you think the thing you're selling is too obscure. There is a market for almost anything on eBay and remember you will probably do even better by filling in a niche than selling something that is common.

Prepare yourself
There are going to be ups and downs when you sell on eBay but don't give up if something goes wrong in your first few sells. The sellers who are successful are the ones who enjoy it and never give up.
If you decide it's not for you then the start-up costs are so low that you won't really have lost anything.
If you are ready to start selling, then you need to know what different types of auctions there are and decide which one you will use.

Posting your very first auction

Step 1: Open an eBay seller's account
If you have bought things on eBay then you already have an account just log in and click the sell' tab in the toolbar at the top of the page, the click create a seller's account'. If you've never used eBay before then you
