The dark behind my eyes
The first thing i always see
a glimmer of light on the side
the morning has come
coffee and a wee
these things i will always see
splashes of water
shorts and a halter
ready for the day
people walking by
the bus is late again
wait half an hour
here comes a shower
of pouring cold rain
finally get to work
the manager calls me in
i sit at a quite desk
awaiting my fate
was i to late?
slowly go back home
open the front room door
the comfort of my house
put on some coffee
make a quick meal
sink into my bed.

The Duty of a Soldier's Wife
I salute our flag
With my oven Mit
Changing diapers to the sound
Of freedom's wit
Serving my country

I'm a mother of three, yet I tend

A day in my life
A sky of often-grey
A never-lifting cloud
An endless fall of rain
A bout of shining sun
Playing peek-a-boo
