First of all diagnose the error or problem. I would highly recomend that if you use a computer and use internet access the fist step is to have anti virus software. Avast anti virus is highly recomended because well first of all it is free. Also it does what mcafee and norton do but much better and you don't get all the problems as you would with the others. Also AVG is very good it is also free. But with avast you have to register it which is free for the regestration code goes

The next step is to have a good disk cleaning program which will clean all your temp files internet cookies and all of the excess temporary files that store up on your computer from day to day use. the internet burning cds all of that. The next step is to have a registry cleaner to clean your registry actually if you have registry cleaner and clean it regulary your pc will preform much better. Another software program that is needed is a spyware cleaner do you know you may have spyware without even knowing some spyware range from registry key values that will steal your information or slow down your computer substianitually. All of these programs can be found and are actually free of charge. The website that I use is freewarefiles.com it is a great site to find software that is much needed for your computer and best of all it is all free of charge. There is another tool you can do to help maintain your pc is disk defragmintation. That is very important for your computer. Also disk cleanup is a great tool it is in the accessories under system tools as well as disk defrag. Also cleaning your temp internet files you can find that in the ie explorer under tools under internet options. But to maintain your computer is very important to run virus scans, all of the things I mentioned to run

those on a regular basis your pc should be in tip top shape. And it does not matter how old your pc is as long as you take care of it it should work fine. You know I talked to a computer expert last year he told me windows 98 is the best operating system they came out with as long as you keep it running right.
